I was complaining to a friend about the problems I have with eczema and how my fingers get quite sore.  She recommended I go into 'Lush' that sells natural soaps and skin creams.  So I went in there over the weekend, and came out very impressed.

I walked out with soaps that have been fabulous, one is 'honey' flavoured, and the other is fig and something else.

I’ve tried so many different creams. The one from Lush worked for a while but later started to irritate. I’ve recently discovered a new cream that is working wonders for me at least. I’ve used it for the last 12 months and it has proved a success in keeping the eczema on my hands under control! This latest one that I use now, and have done for getting onto two years, is a Manuka honey hand cream. As my eczema is on my hands, the hand cream is important, and something I take with me everywhere. The manuka honey hand cream is made by Wild Fern and is called Manuka Honey Hand & Nail Cream. You can buy it from the website by clicking <here> or for more details view the website by typing in the web address "huka honey hive" [dot] com. I always buy mine direct from the shops. Either at the Honey Hive shop in Taupo (New Zealand), or from any touristy gift shop, like the ones in the travel centres where the national buses depart.   [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3w6JfEAPOTY&w=560&h=315]

Alice learns more health tips

It is a wonderful thing when you meet people from whom you can learn so much from.  Whenever I learn something new in a day, it is very satisfying for me, to have gained that piece of new understanding.  Of course you need to judge for yourself whether you believe what you are being told, as even research and scientific data can be interpreted in many ways.

As you know I’ve been cursed with eczema, that came back to haunt me about a decade ago.  I met someone earlier this week whose profession is to advise people on nutrition and exercise.  So my question was, what do they advise for eczema sufferers.  I was told something that my Mother had told me many moons ago over and over.  That is, to avoid drinking diary milk and cut out all dairy products!  Interesting, now that advice sounded very familiar.  Is it possible that Mothers are always always right, 100% of the time? Well it certainly appears to be?

Another useful resource I have been recommended to consult with for health tips are the television shows of Doctor Oz.  He also has a website and a blog also looks very interesting.

I walked out with soaps that have been fabulous, one is ‘honey’ flavoured, and the other is fig and something else.  The staff were very friendly and most helpful.  They even gave me a sample of a skin lotion.

It has been three days now since I started using their cream, and the results have been amazing.  The cream is so very soothing.  The eczema on my hands have been healing beautifully.  I will definitely be going back for more!

Eczema

Have you seen the new programme on TV called kitchen remedies.  Today they had a programme dedicated to home remedies for relieving eczema.  So I was very interested as you can imagine.

One tip I learnt is that I must drink more carrot juice.  Apparently the kerotine or whatever it is in the carrots are good for the skin.
